Well hey let's talk about something less... umm political or computer bound shall we?
The NFL is something most people can enjoy so heck good little discussion in general about teams or whatever might be fun.
Like as of this year who do you think are the top 10 teams. top 3 dissapointments and the top 3 sleeper teams?
Top 10:
1. Tenessee Titans - amazing defense and a veteran quaterback that does just enough to win. Reminds me of the '01 Ravens and '02 Bucceneers. 2. New York Giants - haven't played anyone of worth yet except the Redskins... but are rather impressive. 3. Carolina Panthers - two receivers, two headed running threat and a healthy Jake Delhomme... scary. 4. New England Patriots - only because of who they are. Hopefully Cassell kills their chances at anything. 5. Buffalo Bills - with Trent Edwards they'd be number 2... without... they slip. I they trade Losman one of these years. 6. Arizona Cardinals - when Warner is good...he's amazing, when he's not... well, just look at the Jets game. 7. Tampa Bay Bucceneers - Greise throws 6 picks and 3 tds and they still win games... just imagine what could happen if they stopped treating Garcia like crap and put a good Qb in there. 8. Dallas Cowboys - What happened to these guys? They have argueably the most talent and they nearly lose to the Bengals, Eagles and they did lose to the Redskins...what? 9. Washington Redskins - Campbell is getting better, and Portis is still a beast. 10. New York Jets - Bret Favre, Laverneous Coles, Thomas Jones... looks like Mangini was setting up his Madden team in real life.
Top 3 sleepers:
1. Miami Dolphins - Wildcat strut anyone? 2. San Francisco 49ers - O'Sullivan is actually good? No way... 3. Atlanta Falcons - Michael Vick who? Matt Ryan having a nice rookie year.
Top 3 Dissapointments:
1. Seattle Seahawks - Holmgren says it's his last season... so they decide to make it his worst year ever? 2. Clevland Browns - Anderson was just a one year wonder apparently. 3. Cincinatti Bengals - two superstar receivers, a slot receiver who's amazing, a pro bowl caliber QB... and what do you get... no wins. Who'dathunkit? Last mistake...first mistake
did you see them beat the pack? rodgers had over 300 yards and they still lost i think the falcons are a team on the rise, not going to make the playoffs this year but watch out for them next year. im calling it now.
if you say you called the titans before the season or after the qb contemplated killing himself your a dirty fucking lier. those guys are crazy and if they dont make the bowl im going to be honestly surprised. barring injuries of course.
giants i have to admit after losing shockey (yes he is a TE i know taht), straham, and unmenura i thought the defense was fucked....still had confidence in the offence. but man i am not looking froward to when the boys play them.
cowboys.......my team. why cant both halves of this team show up on the same week? we see one or the other step up big when it counts in games awhile the other side seems to try and give the game away. romo has 300 yards last week and a loss 3 td's this week but a fumble and an interception. if they could get their shit together no on in this league could touch them. but i have to say, there is some kind of schism there that keeps them from ever being on the same page as a team. dont know if its coaches with their at times questionable play calls or what but man....i love the guys i live and die my them but they scare me some times Prefer Ken, but oh well.
Steelers ground one out again this week. I knew the O-line would be a problem with Faneca leaving as a free agent and they're barely hanging on. Roethlisberger is starting to look like a tackling dummy, but he's still managing to get it done even with all of the injuries in the backfield.
Defense is keeping them in and the offence is able to do just enough to win.
The Chargers have been a bit of a disappointment. I guess the pre season hype placing them in the Superbowl was a bit of a hex on them.
The Bengals are back to being the Bungals, the Browns still stink, and the Ravens have no offence to go with the defense. Pittsburgh should win the division again if they can keep it together.
Can't see the Bills doing much without Edwards. Losman has too much Rob Johnson in him.
The Colt's offense can't seem to get going and their D can't stop anyone. Rosenfels did the job for them late in the 4th on Sunday, otherwise they lose.

@Horseman: I was gonna compare him to good ole Robo Sack too, but I wasn't sure how many people would know who the hell I was talking about.
And as for the Chargers, they started out slow last year and LT has been on the decline past couple seasons. So I can't say I'm dissapointed... cause it's a mirror of last year. But hell, with Norv Turner as the head coach...you can't really expect too much.
@Kaze: Ya I thought I remembered a decent NFL following... so ya, you're welcome.

I like Gus Frerotte so I was happy to see the Vikings win.
Gus Frerotte over Tavaris Jackson, good veteran starter with better decision making skills than the over hyped McNabb/Culpepper wannabe with less talent.
Kerry Collins over Vince Young, great choice to switch, solid veteran starter over the horrible no talent Michael Vick clone.
Kurt Warner over Matt Leinert, amazing QB over a dissapointing almost bust. He showed some promise but never got beyond okay. Thank god Warner is there to save the Cardinals.
And that's my little rant about veteran QBs over the over hyped pretty boy young QBs.
As for the game, like I said, hooray for the Vikings and Frerotte and it's nice to see the Gramatica's still choke. But at least he didn't pull his hamstring celebrating making one this time. Last mistake...first mistake
Didn't see last night game cause of work. But i tell ya, I can say this for Cincy...Unlike St. Louis and like Oakland, at least they're trying to win and playing hard. The Rams are already quiting this year. And as for the Raiders, well...the sooner Zombie Al Davis stops functioning and gives up control to someone else, they'll get better.
And man, The lions suck but we all know that. But at least they dont have Matt Millen over seeing them after this year. ^^

I agree that the Raiders and Bengals are probably the best of the shitty teams out there.
And well at least Chris Long is still playing for the Rams, but ya...I feel bad for that team. Worse because Haslett is now the poor bastard calling the shots.
And who the hell is this Cable dude in Oakland? An O-line coach over Rob Ryan? Davis really needs to die... Last mistake...first mistake
