this is a thread for anime that are premering this season ( starting in april) [link]

tell the site what you think about them in various aspects and a quick synopsis of what teh lot is about

im doing 2 today: Heroic Age and Claymore

Heroic Age- The animation is really generic and so are the mecha designs. Some great cg but the characters look just liek a million other ones that ive seen in shows taht are totaly made on a computer. I have no idea where peopel creativity has gone in designing what people look like. Very disheartening.

Ill give it a eps or 2 more to tell me what teh story is about, so far its really nothign to tell. They are looking for this one guy they find him they get attacked she saves the day, very cliche.

Claymore- WOW...im really going to liek this series. GREAT music, teh opening sounded a whlel lot like X Japan, a band ive always liked, and the ending was great to. Even the BG music was good. The animations is top noch as well, I really like teh Claymore desigs. Women built like real women are, what a novel idea. Lots of blood, action, demons, a bad ass medeivel motif and i get the sences of a great story bruing.

I HIGHLY recomend this series to any anime fan. I love watching women kick ass and this series is going to be full of it, i cant wait.

Prefer Ken, but oh well.

If Claymore is anything like the manga, I'll definitely be watching that. The badassery is strong, and Clare is just a delightful character.

Princess Murder: A coup d’etat has broke out in the kingdom of Forland. Princess Alita fled from the castle. She ran screaming in the forest while her guards were kill by some demon. When she exit the forest, she came in contact with a female bounty hunter name Falis. Just as Falis is about to slice the demon (the one who kill the guards) Alita bumps into Alita on to Falis and both of them fell off the cliff. Just as they were crash to the ground, some light brights around them and their souls switch each other. Falis is now in Alita body while Alita is now in Falis body. Thus begins the story of how Princess Alita(Falis) is going save the kingdom from the coup d'etat and other enemies.

I just had to say is WTF? I though this series is going be a fantasy/action with horror but, it has dark comedy mix into it. There blood and gore in the first episode. There also twin robotic lolis in this one(well one of them does the killing). The series is more Slayers with Hellsing. Also, the character Princess Alita resembles alot like Tsukihime's Arcuied Brunestad. First episode feels rush, but I heard the first episode is base on the first volume of the manga(yes there a manga of the series). Suprising the animation of Murder Princess is done by Bee Train. !dodge Sadly it an six-episode ova and each episodes comes out in one month. I was hoping for a 12 episode-series. Oh well I continue watching the ova. The next episode comes out on April 25th.

BTW, don't get Ayako's mkv version of Murder Princess since I had video problems with it yesterday.

I'm trying to remember if Heroic age was the one we watched last night with AMS...

If it is, I would like to say I enjoyed it very much... Nice and traditional... and very well drawn, with good souns effects. Moist of my Animé soc were impressed by it...

To be honest, I don't remeber too well... I dunno, some kid in a spaceship, he calls the computer his mother at the start.

Perhaps the fact that I can't remember too much says something, eh?

I suppose...differrent tastes...

Seirei no moribito -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seirei_no_Moribito

It seems taht the series is set in generic old school (1600's ish) asia land. Th animation is literialy WAY better than a lot of modern movies. It was so good I couldnt beleieve it.

Great character design as well. The main character looked like a much older Saya ( from blood +) to me. I really think this one is going to be a winner. The concept of the 8 peopled she killed and has to make restuition for I think is going to play out nicely as the series goes on as a huge dramic plot point.

the only really ban point is I think the music was a bit lacking. If you liek strong female leads who can kick ass give this a try. I know im going to watch it.

Darker than black - [link]

The openeing theme song is bad ass, i really liked it. The animation in this one is also nice. Not like Seirei but its a million times better than Heroic age. Yet again I am taken by the cool character designs. With som much of dotays animes being stock character #72 its good to see a few series actualy try in this area.

The story starts out a bit weak but picks up and it seems like there is a lot under the surface of this series. If it follows up iats dramic points more it will be a fun series. If they try to stear away from its mystery/drama/action feel and just becomes super power guys fighting it will be garbage. Im going to give it a few episodes. The first episode didnt dissapoint at all but I could see a possibility for sucking if they cop out on the atmosphere they seem to be building.

Some of the other series i wanted to see havent been picked up up by any sub group yet. I hope welber gets picked up at least.
